Use of Data Fingerprint Logging System

With effect from this week, we will be trying out a new attendance taking system using a Fingerprint Attendance Logger. We will be registering all of your fingerprints in the machine and you will be given an ID number.

Pls remember to "sign in" and "sign out" for your attendance during every training. Attendance that has not been captured cannot be added in at a later date. If you forget to "sign in/out" on a particular training session, your attendance for that session will be marked as absent.

Week 1 will be registration week, week 2 onwards we will commence using the system. The system will be placed on stage as it requires power connection. Captains will take turns to set up the machine during trainings.

New Revised Holiday Training Schedule (Nov/Dec) 2011

Dear all,

As per discussed this morning, the first two weeks will be the selection matches for ALL MEMBERS. School Team players will be selected based on merit and attitude/aptitude assessment by the Teachers in charge and coaches.

From week 3 (11/12/11) onwards, holiday training will be solely for selected school team players and it will be a fully intensive training programme.

We will let you know if the Intensive Training Camp is compulsory for ALL closer to the camp date. Pls keep posted here.

Dear parents,

Apologies for not posting on the blog these few days as we could not get connected to the internet nor get a Taiwan SIM card.

For those students who intended to get a SIM Card in Taiwan, they need the parents to sign an indemnity form as they are below 18 years old. Besides, 1 ID is only allowed to buy one prepaid card, so Mrs Ng and I have bought a SIM card each, students can use our SIM card to call back to Singapore.

You can access the page on the right hand bar to check the room number. We are looking into changing to another hotel from but pending confirmation, we will update here if there's any changes.

Parents' Briefing Programme

Here will be the brief programme later:

1900 Attendance taking and collection of handbooks
1915 Collection of payment for jersey set and track suit
1930 Collection of passport
1945 Briefing by the Travel Agency
2030 Q & A Sessions
2045 End of briefing

Updates: Jersey set and Track Suit payment

The jersey set as mentioned earlier, is still S$16. It will have your Chinese name (without the surname) printed in front and school name / trip name printed behind.

The track suit will be sent to Taiwan for embroidery. You will be paying for the cost of the Track suit in SG dollars (S$29) at the briefing later, and we will collect the embroidery cost from you in Taiwan after we know the cost (will be less than $10).

The track suit will have the wording "TEAM AMKSS" embroidered behind and maybe your name (in English in front), depending on the cost of embroidery there.

So, please prepare payment of S$45 in total for payment of these two outfits to be submitted at the briefing later.

2	12 NOV 2011 (Saturday)	- After breakfast, coach ride to Taichung - Visit to Earthquake Learning Centre, Paper Church - Go to Taichung night market for an early dinner (Own expense) - Proceed to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭)Hotel, check in and watch the Fireworks Festival performance - Debrief and reflection

Reminder - Travel Vaccination

You are to report 15 mins before the appointment time for attendance taking and briefing.

You are to report in your full school uniform.
